Robert John "Bob" Elliott

Robert J. Elliott, 67, of Battle Creek, passed away, surrounded by family, Tuesday, December 31, 2013 after a long illness. Bob was born November 4, 1946 to John and Gloria (Mason) Elliott.

Bob graduated from Battle Creek Lakeview High School in 1965 and went to work at Post Cereals. He then joined the U.S. Navy and served aboard the USS Hammerberg from April of 1966 to January 1970. Bob retired from Post Cereals as Chief Engineer of the Powerhouse after 36 years of service.

Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Suzanne, a son, Robert J. Elliott, II (PJ) of Stevensville, MI; daughters, Christine (James) Elliott Skeen of Carrollton, TX, Kim Williamson, and Shannon Smith both of Battle Creek and seven grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Donald R. Smith.
