Robert Lynn "Bob" Mason

April 17, 1952 — June 1, 2021

Robert Lynn "Bob" Mason, age 68, of Augusta, Michigan passed away on December 20th, 2020 after losing his battle with Alzheimer's.

Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Bob was a graduate of Gull Lake High School, class of 1970, where he excelled in athletics, playing basketball, football, and track. He grew up in the Midland Park area on Gull Lake and loved to spend time on the lake with friends and family. Outside of school, he participated in and won numerous water-skiing tournaments, specializing in slalom and ski jumping. Bob loved to stay busy, but when he had downtime, you could often find him enjoying nature, whether it was working in the yard, golfing, skiing on the lake or catching a fast ride across the ice in his iceboat. Bob was a dedicated employee of Denso Manufacturing in Battle Creek Michigan for almost 30 years where he served as Chief of Maintenance until his retirement in April of 2017. Bob also owned a lawncare business that he ran in his free time. He took so much pride in caring for others and their homes. A natural caretaker with a big heart, Bob went above and beyond for his clients, friends, and family and was always there when they needed help or just a listening ear. He was loved by many, and he is greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Vicki Mason; sister, Janice (Mason) Waldorf; sons, Trevor and Robert Mason; daughter, Kimberly (Mason) Seibert; son-in-law, Steven Seibert and grandson, Andrew Seibert; nephews, Bo Snyder, Todd Snyder, Judd Snyder; and niece Stephanie (Mason) Dunnick. He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Meyle Mason; father, Robert Lee Mason; sister, Sharon Mason; and brother, Lynn Mason.

A memorial visitation for Bob will be held from Noon to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 16th at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel. A service to celebrate Bob's life will follow at 1:00 p.m. with a procession and graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Yorkville Cemetery, Ross Township.
