Robert S. "Bob" McKinney

Robert S. “Bob” McKinney, age 91, of Richland passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, November 26, 2023.  He was born in Manistique, Michigan on March 1, 1932, the son of Randal and Gladys (Cardinal) McKinney and faithfully served his country as a member of the United States Army.

Bob married Mary Dunn on July 18, 1979; she survives.  He is also survived by his daughter, Susan Rideoutt; his step-children, Terry (Gary) Rogers, Bernard Clark, Sheryl Clark, and Linda Clark; his grandchildren, Tiffany (Eric) Barnet, Jeffrey (Romi) Douglass, Brian Rideoutt, Kevin (Katie) Rideoutt, Matthew Clark, Justin Schroeder, Lisa Elliott, David (Michelle) Elliott, Chris (Rachel) Rogers, Laura Clark and Lindsay (Drew) Gilbert; and several great-grandchildren.  Bob was preceded in death by a son, Stephen McKinney; a daughter, Michele Douglass; his parents; a brother and three sisters.

Bob was a life-member of the Hickory Corners Masonic Lodge #345, the Comstock V.F.W. #6252, and the Delton Moose Lodge #1649.  He enjoyed traveling, woodworking & carving, being outdoors working in his yard & landscaping, and spending time with his family and many friends.

The family will receive friends 11:00 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, December 9^th at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel, 9170 East D. Ave. (M-89) where services to celebrate his life will begin at 11:30 a.m.  Interment will follow at East Hickory Corners Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials made to the Kairos Dwelling, 2945 Gull Road Kalamazoo, MI 49048.  Personal messages for the family may be placed here at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
