Roger E. Fosdick, 90, passed away February 1, 2022 at the Laurels of Bedford. Roger was born January 27, 1932 in Grand Rapids to Donald and Margaret (Weber) Fosdick. He graduated from Lakeview High School in 1950 and married the former Patricia Eldridge on September 28, 1957. Roger was an auto parts salesman at DeNooyer/Heritage Chevrolet for over 50 years.
Roger honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He saw both active and reserve duty. He loved to be active, including bicycling and waterskiing. Roger enjoyed skiing so much he built a boat and taught many, many people to waterski. He also built an ice boat, made countless wood crafts, and completed numerous home improvement projects. He became very active with Habitat for Humanity as a construction volunteer after retirement. He never wanted to draw attention to himself but would do all he could to put a smile on your face.
Roger is survived by his loving wife, Patricia, their son, Robert (Shari) Fosdick and six grandchildren (Joshua, Nicholas, Benjamin, Nathanael, Gabriel and Rebekah), and beloved nieces Colleen (Rick) Ritchie, Sheryl (Ken) McGuffin, Kimberly (Joel) Burman and nephews Dennis Combs and Jeffrey Eldridge.
