Ronald Mark "Ron" Giguere of Richland, MI

Ron, age 54, died unexpectedly Thursday, September 21, 2017 at his residence.

Ron, the son of David A. and Pauline G. (LoBaido) Giguere, was born in Flint, MI on April 30, 1963; was 1987 graduate of Ferris State University College of Pharmacy. He was a Pharmacist for the Meijer Store's at the Gull Road Store and most recently at the Beckley Road Store in Battle Creek. Ron was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Portage, MI. He was an avid golfer and hunter; had been a soccer coach at River Oaks in Comstock for 12 years; enjoyed traveling this great land, but his passion in life was spending time with family and friends.

Ron was united in marriage to the former, Mary Lou Kunitzer in Flint, MI on December 5, 1987. Surviving is wife of almost 30 years, Lou; two sons, Nathanael D. and Matthew C. Giguere, both Richland; his parents, Dave and Pauline Giguere of Davison, MI; his sister, Linda (James) Shaw of Columbiaville, MI and his brother, Richard D. "Rich" (Ruth Ann) Giguere of Lake Orion, MI.

The Memorial Service to celebrate Ron's life will be held on Monday, September 25th at 11:00 a.m. at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1747 W. Milham Avenue, Portage, MI 49024 with the Rev. Rachel Laughlin, officiating. Ron's family will greet friends on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the Church. Family and friends will continue Ron's life celebration with a time of fellowship and luncheon immediately following the Service in the Church Social Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ron's honor may be directed to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan, 230 Huron View Boulevard, Ann Arbor, MI 48103 or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel (269-962-6022) is assisting Ron's family with his arrangements.
