Ronald W. Brown

Ronald W. Brown, 75, of Richland, died February 14, 2024.   Ronald was born January 25, 1949 in Kalamazoo to William and Janet (VanderVeen) Brown.  He graduated high school and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  After his military service he worked 23 years for the Upjohn Company.   Ronald was an avid Michigan Football fan and enjoyed the 2023 season and National Championship tremendously.  

Ronald married the former Shirley Whitfield on July 1, 1989, who survives.  He is also survived by three sisters, Jacque Jackson, Wendy (Rick) Palmer and Pam (Jeff) Sommerveld and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Rich Jackson. 

Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery.  Those wishing to make memorial donations in memory of Ronald are asked to consider Compassus Hospice or the Augusta VFW Post #7956.  Arrangements by the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel.  Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
