Rosalie I. (Way) Trisket, 90, of Battle Creek died at Calhoun County Medical Care Facility on Wednesday, July 31, 2013.
She was born February 8, 1923 in Bellevue, Michigan to David Dene and Theresa Cecilia (Ryan) Way. Rosalie grew up in Bellevue and was a 1941 graduate of Bellevue High School. During WWII she worked at Eaton Corporation in the Inspections Department. Rosalie was a salesperson in several real estate offices; and worked with her husband, for Trisket Reality Company.
Rosalie was united marriage to Coy M. Trisket at St. Philip Rectory on Saturday, January 11, 1947. She was preceded in death by Coy, her husband of 61 years on August 31, 2008. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia A. (Richard) Carpenter and Susan D. (Greg) Purchase all of Battle Creek; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald D. Way of Los Vegas, NV and a sister, Lucile M. Reed of Alamo TX.
In addition to her husband, Rosalie was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry L. Richardson; a brother, Bernard C. Way and a sister, Frances L. Calderone.
Rosalie was a member of St. Philip Catholic Church, its Women's Service Organization, the former St. Peter's Circle; and a former member of the Battle Creek Board of Realtors. Rosalie enjoyed golfing and was a former member of Marywood Country Club, Bedford Valley Country Club and Riverside Country Club. Rosalie loved spending time with her family.
Friends will be received 2:00-4:00 p.m. & 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, where the Rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m. Friday evening.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. John D. Fleckenstein at St. Philip Catholic Church 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 2013. Inurnment will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
