Roy G. Kerridge

Roy G. Kerridge, age 88 of Battle Creek passed away peacefully on Monday morning, June 24, 2024. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 13, 1936, the son of John S. and Myra C. (Ehlenfeldt) Kerridge. He graduated from Battle Creek Central High School with the Class of 1953 and attended Western Michigan University. Roy’s last employment was at the Credit Bureau of Battle Creek and he previously worked at Security National Bank. 

Roy married the “Love of His Life”, Karolyn K. Rudy on June 21, 1958; she sadly preceded him in death on January 6, 1986. He was also preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Randy on March 2, 2004. Roy is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Dorothy Pletzke) Kerridge of Battle Creek. 

Roy enjoyed being with his family, bowling, playing golf, watching his kids in sports, and cheering for MSU, Tigers & Red Wings. He also loved woodworking and taking care of his yard & flowers. 

Funeral services to celebrate Roy’s life will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 1, 2024 in the chapel at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Alzheimer’s Association and/or the American Heart Association. Arrangements by Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care.
