Ruby H. Gregg

Ruby H. Gregg, age 92, of Battle Creek passed away Saturday evening, June 10, 2017 at the Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence. She was born in Battle Creek on October 27, 1924, the daughter of Henry Mason and Mabel F. (Sampel) Soule. Ruby served as an RN at various hospitals in Michigan and Indiana for more than 45 years.

Ruby married Robert B. Gregg on December 24, 1967; he sadly preceded her in death on August 27, 1981. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Grace, Ethel, Laura Jean, and Nancy Ellen; and her brothers, Floyd, Lee, and Robert. Ruby is survived her sisters, Dorothy Hlava, Mary Livingston, Ruth Harris, Betty Hanson, and her brother, Dan (Joan) Soule.

Ruby enjoyed reading and gardening. She loved her darling cats & her beloved dog, "Buddy", but she especially loved being with her family.

The family will receive friends 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2017 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care where funeral services to celebrate Ruby's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Hicks Cemetery.
