Sabrina "Bree" Almaraz

Sabrina M. "Bree" Almaraz, 17, of Battle Creek, passed away tragically Thursday, December 10, 2015 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Bree was born September 15, 1998 in Battle Creek.

Bree is survived by her parents, Anne (Ramos) Almaraz and John Almaraz; her two siblings, Krystal Almaraz (Sister); and JR Flint; Best Friend Samantha Lahusky (Sammy); her "Little Buddies" Justin and Jackson Liles; four grandparents, Salina Ramos (Nana), Roy Ramos (Papa), Felix Almaraz and Judy Almaraz; a great-grandmother, Ruth O'Dell; Aunt Nicki Ramos (Anty Paper); Uncle Jason Ramos (Uncle Bubba), Aunt Liz and Uncle Dave Grinage; Aunt Lupe Almaraz; Aunt Penny and Uncle Mike Allen; Uncle Mark and Aunt Missy Ackley), Aunt & Uncle Salina (Aunt Ennie) and Matthew Liles; and many other extended family that loved her dearly in both Michigan and North Carolina. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Dominga Ramos, Alfredo Ramos, Lupe Almaraz, Nick Bosrock, and Ruth Bosrock.

Sabrina (Beans) was a fiercely loyal and caring young lady. She frequently helped out at the Milano Café constantly putting the needs of others before her own - an example of her selfless nature. Her love for God gave way to her convictions, giving strength to those around her and sticking up for those who may need it. A junior at Pennfield High School, Bree had a passion for singing and dancing, and was a member of the school choir. In her short time, she enjoyed her church and time with her Praise Team. She also enjoyed participating in Cross Country. Her family and friends were her world.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Funeral services to celebrate Bree's life will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 18 at Dexter Lake Church of God, 1555 E. Michigan Avenue, Battle Creek 49014.
