Sandra Eileen "Sandy" Davis of Battle Creek, MI

Sandy, age 72, died unexpectedly Thursday morning, June 13, 2019 at her residence.

Sandy, the daughter of Donald and Dorothy (Sweitzer) Ashbaugh, was born in Kalamazoo, MI on March 17, 1947; was a 1965 graduate of Portage High School and was a Battle Creek area resident. She retired in 2007 as a Calibration Technician for TRMI of Battle Creek after 16 years of faithful service. Sandy enjoyed sewing, cooking, jig-saw and crossword puzzles, playing cards and spoiling her grandchildren rotten.

Sandy is survived by her significate other, Mike Higgins; sons, Timothy A. Butler and James H. Butler, both of Battle Creek; Zach and Stephanie Higgins of Battle Creek, Travis Higgins of Battle Creek; six grandchildren, Ashley Guess, Destri Guess, Savin Smith, Robin Gollakner, Jaxton Higgins and Greyson Higgins; three great grandchildren, Kingston Guess, Leland Gibson and Ridley Gollakner; her sister, Susan Grams of Parchment, MI and a brother, Clifford Ashbaugh of Vicksburg, MI. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David Ashbaugh.

The Memorial Gathering to celebrate Sandy's life be held on Sunday, July 7th from Noon until 3:00 p.m. at the Creek Valley Development Clubhouse, 70 Creek Valley Circle, Battle Creek, MI 49037. Final interment will be with family members in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Kalamazoo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sandy's honor may be directed to the Kidney Foundation, 1169 Oak Valley Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48108. The Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek is assisting Sandy's family.
