Sandra Ann "Sandy" Jones

Sandra Ann “Sandy” Jones, age 72, of Battle Creek passed away peacefully in her daughter’s home with her daughter at her bedside on Thursday morning, March 15, 2023.  She was born in Battle Creek on September 4, 1950 and was the daughter of David Levi and Maryann Irene (Hall) Moore.  Sandy graduated from Pennfield High School with the Class of 1968 and owned & operated the Pet Nanny of Battle Creek for more than 30 years until health issues forced her retirement in 2017.

Sandy served on the Pennfield Township Board of Review for many years.  A true animal lover, she enjoyed watching and feeding the birds, gardening and flowers.  She also loved visiting different zoos and always looked forward to her annual trip to the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago.

Sandy is survived by her children, Brent (Teresa) Jones of Battle Creek, Shelley (Duane) Hickok of Marshall, and Scott (Sarah Levenburg) Jones of Grand Haven; her grandchildren, Shiloh, Tyler, Liam, and Monroe; and her former husband & children’s father, Steve Jones of Byron Center.  She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Cali Osborn.
