Sandra K. Swarms

Sandra K. Swarms, 69, of Hickory Corners, died September 18, 2014. Sandra was born August 11, 1945 in Kalamazoo to Henry and Maxine (Selbee) Pape. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School and went on to work at the UpJohn Company for many years, before retiring in 2004. Sandra enjoyed tracking family lineage, taking pictures, and gardening.

Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Robert Swarms; her seven children, Rodney (Betsy) Swarms of Robbins, NC, David (Myra) Swarms of Robbins, NC, Michelle (Matt) Thomas of Fishers, IN, Kevin Swarms of Allegan, Angela (Scott) Emmons of Allegan, Tim Swarms of Robbins, NC, and Amy (Justin) Koehler of Noblesville, IN; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pame Harness and Stacey Cotugno and a brother, Rick Pape.

Sandra was preceded in death by her brother, Jan (Poose) Pape.

A memorial service to celebrate Sandra's life will be held 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Richland Chapel, 9170 East D. Ave (M-89), officiated by Rev. Clay Gibbons. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider the American Diabetes Association or the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
