Saylor Irene Scott

October 21, 2021 — February 5, 2022

Saylor Irene Scott was born on October 21, 2021 to her parents Betsy and Evan Scott and departed this world to live with Jesus on February 5, 2022. Saylor was their precious firstborn child and was dearly loved.

Saylor passed peacefully at home surrounded by more love than any baby has ever received. Saylor was more than special. According to her doctors, she was the only little girl like her on the planet. She had two different chromosome abnormalities and a severe progressive neurological disorder called Krabbe Disease. Because of this, we knew our time with Saylor was going to be short. However, our time with her was much shorter than we had hoped. It's been an excruciating but sacred journey since we learned of her rare conditions last summer. We prayed for healing and she is now healed. We find peace in the fact that we celebrated every hour of her life and that there wasn't a second that went by that she didn't know how loved she was. What Saylor may have lacked in health, she more than made up for in sweetness, cuteness and in love. She was the best thing that ever happened to us and while our hearts will be permanently shattered, we will feel forever grateful to have had her at all. It will forever be the best 3.5 months of our lives. Thank you, Saylor Irene. You were an absolute dream come true and we will love you forever.

Saylor was such a strong girl, through all of the doctor appointments and treatments, she was so brave. She was a true blessing to her family, especially her loving parents. Saylor touched every person's life that came to know her. Saylor's parents did everything they possibly could to make every day of her life the best day possible, including going on their first family vacation to Florida earlier this year.

Saylor is survived by her parents, Evan and Betsy Scott; maternal grandparents, Joni and Tim Knapper; paternal grandparents, Les Scott and Barb and Denny O'Reilly. She was dearly loved by her Uncle Bryan Paige, Aunt Stephanie (David) Adams, and Aunt Sara (Eric) Sutherland.
