Seran Aileen Varga

Seran Aileen Varga, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at her home. She was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on October 6, 1958, the first of two daughters to Bertha and Ernest Varga. Seran grew up in Battle Creek and graduated from Battle Creek Central High School. She was strong-willed, independent, kind, and had a great sense of humor. She was also an animal lover and a fan of Star Wars and Harry Potter. Seran’s determination enabled her to graduate from St. Mary of The Woods with a bachelor’s degree. She worked in the Federal Center in Battle Creek for many years as a civil servant. 

Seran’s memory will be cherished by her surviving mother, Bertha Varga and sister, Helen (Laurel) Varga. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Varga. Seran was a blessing to all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial to celebrate Seran's life will be held Friday, March 20, 2026 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church at 12:00 p.m. Funeral arrangements by Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home and Cremation Care.
