Sheila Marie McLaughlin

Sheila Marie McLaughlin, age 58 of Battle Creek passed away Friday afternoon, May 9, 2025 at the Laurels of Bedford. Affectionately known as “Sheila E”, Sheila was born in Battle Creek on December 14, 1966 the daughter of Dorsey Lee and Maggie Virginia McLaughlin. She was the middle child. Sheila enjoyed cooking, listening/dancing to music, and loving on her kids and grandkids.

Her siblings include Ebbin (Lump) Brown, Tina McGloffin, James McLaughlin, DeCheena Tillman, and Vernon (Terrell) Tillman. Sheila was the mother of 6 children, Felix Gero McShan, Lakitea Marie McShan, Felix Jarod McShan, Maileka Marie McLaughlin, DeQuan Alinte Moore and Jasmine Sannyu Moore. She had a host of grandchildren that she absolutely adored and enjoyed spending quality time with. She leaves behind several friends and family who will cherish her memory.

In celebration of Sheila’s life, her family and friends met at Bailey Park Stadium on Saturday, May 17, 2025. They released balloons and proposed a toast to celebrate Sheila’s Life and Legacy.
