Shari K. Mcallister

Shari K. McAllister, 69, of Battle Creek, died January 14, 2022. Shari was born May 27, 1952 in Battle Creek to Roy and Patricia (Cosgrove) Bond. Shari retired from the State of Michigan, Circuit Court Probation.

Shari is survived by her son, Timothy (Barbara) McAllister; her father and step-mother, Roy & Patricia Bond; two sisters, Shawn (Patrick) Williams and Salli (Mike) Smith; a brother, Mike (Linda) Bond; grandchildren, Katie Sherrill (Jayson Springer) and Isabella McAllister; Great-grandchildren, Lylah, Ayden, Jayce and Tyson; nieces and nephews, Jeremiah (Shannon) Smith, Jacob (Blaire) Smith, Natalie Bond-Smith and Patrick Bond; great nieces and nephews, Mia, Abraham, Poppy and Tucker. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Bond.

Shari enjoyed many trips Up North to the family home in Rogers City and always liked to spend time near the water. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, cooking & baking, and traveling; but most of all, Shari loved to spend time with her grandchildren, and her friend Steve Miller.

Mom was born and raised in Battle Creek. She went to Verona then W.K then Central, a true city kid. She never considered leaving the area because of family. She was a devoted mother whom expended all her time in my upbringing. Being a single mom she never let me want for anything, especially love. She was my mentor and she will be missed.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
