Sharon Christine "Chris" Bresett

Sharon Christine "Chris" Bresett, 73, of Battle Creek, died on her birthday, January 1, 2020. Chris was born January 1, 1947 in Four Mile, KY to Frank and Sylvia (Payne) Mullins. She graduated from Ferris State with a Bachelor's Degree and then received her Master's Degree from Western Michigan University. She worked as a social worker for many years helping families.



Chris enjoyed shopping, going to garage sales, keeping up with friends and family on Facebook, playing word games and seek and find books. She loved the song, Amazing Grace, and was a proud two-time cancer survivor.



Chris is survived by her husband, Robert Bresett; a son Marty Powell, stepdaughter Kimberly Bresett; stepson Rob Bresett; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jimmie (Norma) Mullins and Larry (Nita) Mullins and a sister, Patricia (Billy) Mullins-Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Dennis Ayers and six siblings.



A graveside service to celebrate Chris's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2020 at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
