Sharon M. Tenney

Sharon M. Tenney, age 68, of Battle Creek passed away peacefully at home on Friday morning, March 10, 2023.  She was born in Battle Creek on February 16, 1955, the daughter of Ernest and Virginia (Hamacher) Davison.  Sharon graduated from Battle Creek Central High School with the Class of 1973 and retired from Denso Manufacturing in 2016 after more than 33 years.  She enjoyed sewing, camping, crafts, and she truly loved riding motorcycles and spending time with her family.

Sharon married Craig “Buzz” Tenney in Battle Creek on June 1, 1996; he survives.  She is also survived by her children, Michael (Carey) Wilson, Wendi (Mark) Whal, Joel (Dena) Tenney, Kevin (Sarah) Tenney, and Lisa Alger; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Christine Gilkson; and two brothers, Frank (Rayann) Davison and Paul (Pat) Davison.  Sharon was sadly preceded in death by her son, Scott Wilson on August 26, 2022; and her parents.  

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care.  A memorial luncheon to celebrate Sharon's life will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the Bedford Area Lions Club 22125 N.
