Sheila Marie “Gram” Watson, 74, of Battle Creek died at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital with her family at her side on Friday, July 21, 2023.
Sheila was born December 9, 1948, in Coldwater, Michigan the daughter of James Allen Watson and Norma Marie (Claar) Hoffman. She was raised in the Coldwater, Bronson, and Northern Indiana area. She earned her diploma at Lakeview High School later in life. Sheila was employed as a waitress at several area restaurants/pubs. She worked many years at American Fibrit Inc. until her health no longer enabled her to work.
Surviving are her children, Peggy Lucinda Watson-Russell of Phoenix, AZ, David J. (Kimberlee) Watson of Battle Creek, Tod (Tabitha) Watson of Battle Creek, Ted (Renee) Watson of Battle Creek; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sharla Tyler of Utah. Sheila was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, David A. Watson and Donald R Watson.
Gram enjoyed playing Bingo, cards and poker night. Her life centered around her grandchildren. She was at their beck and call anytime they needed a ride or anything she could do to help. She would help anyone and give them her last dollar if they needed it. Gram will be remembered for her unconditional love.
A celebration of Gram’s life will be held at a later date to be determined. Inurnment will be held at Memory Gardens in Albion.
