Sheri D. Hixson, age 76 passed away on April 27, 2024, in Orlando Florida.
Born at North Kansas City Hospital on May 24, 1947, to Dorothy and Don Easterday, Sheri would be the first of three children, including Roger and Pam. Sheri enjoyed and excelled in her education with earning National Merit Scholarship Finalist, Dean’s List and Honors College awards.
Sheri's love of books at an early age would carry her through her whole life. She was often seen sleeping with her glasses on and a book open.
Sheri married Michael Hixson on September 2, 1967, in Kansas City, MO.
Sheri's career ranged from Real Estate Agent, Training Department of Social Services workers, System Analyst at Department of Defense to training 3,000 realtors in 10 Michigan counties on the MLS system.
Sheri was President of the St. Louis Boxer Club, Treasurer of Boy Scout Troop 674, St. Charles, MO, Founding Board Member-National Touring Network of Battle Creek.
She loved all things Tech, antiquing, playing Bridge, learning family history, coffee, talking for hours on the phone and time with her grandchildren.
Sheri was preceded in death by her parents and husband. To cherish her memory, Sheri leaves her children; Scott Hixson and Matt Hixson, four grandchildren; Alex, Bentley, McKenzie and Nevaeh; her brother, Roger Easterday and sister, Pam Easterday.
Visitation for Sheri will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 9am-11 am at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Cremation Preneed Care, Battle Creek, MI. Committal and burial will follow at Frontier Cemetery, Hillsdale, MI.
