Sherri K. Sutherland

Sherri Kay Sutherland, age 56, of Battle Creek passed away Monday, March 14, 2022. She was born in Battle Creek on August 5, 1965, the daughter of Roger Allen and Vera "Faye" Horner. Sherri graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1983 and worked for the United States Postal services for many years.

Family meant everything to Sherri and she truly lived for her kids. She enjoyed sewing & quilting, but most of all she loved cooking for her family, especially her wonderful spaghetti, lasagna and chili.

Sherri was previously married to Jeff Sutherland for 36 years and they had five kids together. She is survived by her children, Brett Sutherland of East Pointe, MI, Jillian (John) McLeod of Bellevue, Wade (Alicia) Sutherland of Battle Creek and Peyton Sutherland of Battle Creek. Sherri was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Xander in 2003.

The family will receive friends 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, March 20th, 2022 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek, where funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 1:00 pm., Monday, March 21st. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
