Sherry Lynne Willavize

Sherry Lynne Willavize, age 72, of Battle Creek passed away peacefully at her home on Friday evening, April 26, 2021. She was born in Battle Creek on September 23, 1948, the daughter of Kenneth and Marie (Kitley) Walkinshaw. Sherry retired from Lakeview School in 2013 after more than 15 years of service. She enjoyed gardening & flowers, crocheting, playing Bingo & the Lottery, and loved spending time with her family and her puppies.

Sherry married Michael C. "Mike" Willavize in Battle Creek on November 17, 1978; he survives. She is also survived by her children; Becky (Brian) Vinyard, Michael Willavize Jr., Tina (the late David) Zeeryp, all of Battle Creek and Billie Jo McCulley of Tennessee; a special grandson, Benjamin Zeeryp & 7 other grandchildren; several great grandchildren; three sisters, Ann Phillips of Battle Creek, Vicky Bowling & Donna (Melvin) Parker, both of Tennessee; and several nieces & nephews. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Patty Jordan.

The family will receive friends 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, May 2nd at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek.
