Sheryl J. Wade

Sheryl J. Wade, 56, of Battle Creek, died July 28, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. Sheryl was born November 26, 1957 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Bill and Gaynell (Allred) Burt. Sheryl married Kenneth Wade on November 10, 1994, in Bedford, MI. She devoted her entire life to raising her family.

Sheryl enjoyed gardening and especially sewing. But most of all, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and her family. Sheryl was a long time member of the North Avenue Church of God.

Sheryl is survived by her husband, Kenneth; four sons, Brad (Lisa) Smith, Chad (Krystal) Smith, Billy (Tasha Sells) Smith and Cortney Smith; a step-son, Kenny Morris; 15 grandchildren; a niece, Melanie Burt; two sisters, Tina Morris and Sue Baker; a brother, Billy Burt and a very special aunt, Hattie Whitfield. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, where funeral services to celebrate her life will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, officiated by Rev.
