Shirley Christine (Yother) Parrish

Shirley Christine (Yother) Parrish, age 81, of Battle Creek passed away Saturday morning, February 2, 2019 at the Calhoun County Medical Care Facility. She was born in Cedartown, Georgia on August 10, 1937, one of 10 children to Andrew and Annie (Murphy) Parrish.

Shirley is survived by her children, Theresa & Betty Yother, both of Battle Creek, Jeanette Brannon & Brenda Brown, both of Missouri, Tommie & John Branham, both of Battle Creek, Shannon Yother of Florida, and Jason Yother of Battle Creek; 22 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two children, Terry & Mary Yother; and seven brothers & sisters.

Cremation has taken place and no services are being planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to the Calhoun County Animal Shelter. The family is being served by Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek.
