Shirley “Jeanie” Potter, age 84 of Battle Creek passed away Thursday morning, September 21, 2023. She was born in Brethren, Michigan on July 15, 1939, the daughter of Earl and Dorothy (Garber) Cable. Jeanie enjoyed going shopping, crocheting, playing games on her tablet, and watching her crime shows.
Jeanie married Arthur “Art” Potter in 1979. He sadly preceded her in death on July 4, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and eight brothers & sisters. Jeanie is survived by her sisters, Sharron (Jerry) Logan, Mary Lemmons, Judy (Ray Zapata Jr.) Cable, all of Battle Creek; and several nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 26th at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek where services to celebrate her life will begin at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
