Silvia Trevino

July 22, 1978 — December 11, 2021

On Saturday, December 11, 2021, Silvia Trevino, age 43, gained her wings. She was a daughter, sister, friend, cousin, and aunt. She proudly held the title of TT Silvia to a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Silvia was born in Battle Creek, MI on July 22, 1978 to Maria Elena Trevino and Leopoldo Trevino Sr.

Silvia was a 1996 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. She played softball for three years as one of the best first base players. Most of Battle Creek knows her as the manager of Dairy Queen, where she worked for sixteen years. Unfortunately, she lost her eyesight in 2011 due to diabetes, but that wasn't her first battle. In 2010, she had a kidney transplant, given by her loving brother, Rey. Determined to keep her independence, she graduated in 2015 from the Bureau of Services for the Blind Persons Training Program, where she started, and managed her own business. TT's Café in Grand Rapids, MI for a couple years. Silvia was always the life of the party; if she was there, you were guaranteed to have fun! She loved listening to R&B, and her recent favorite, Cardi B. She loved spending time with family and friends. Her true passion was the love she had for all her nieces and nephews.

Silvia loved her entire family and her friends. She always supported everyone and never gave up on them. She especially appreciated the love and support of her best friend of 31 years, Nikki Boo (Budreau), who never gave up on her and stood by her side through thick and thin. She valued her special bond with her son, Austin Evans.

One of Silvia's characteristics was her strength no matter what obstacles were thrown in her way. Through the years, those obstacles began taking a toll on her, both physically and mentally. Eventually, she grew tired and was at peace with her transition.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leopoldo Trevino Sr. and brothers, Danny Avendano, Leo Trevino Jr., and Bruce Davis. Surviving are her mother, Maria Elena Trevino; sisters, Susan Trevino, Sandra Davis, and Erica Kirkland; brothers, Rey (Marlyn) Avendano, Johnny (Ginny) Trevino, Alex (Michelle) Trevino, and Tony (Courtney) Gillard; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
