Stanley "Stan" Kerman of Gull Lake (Augusta, MI)


Stan, age 71, died unexpectedly Sunday, October 13, 2013 in Longboat Key, FL.

Stan, the son of Isidore and Shirley (Tenenbaum) Kerman, was born on August 5, 1942 in Queens, NY and graduated from Long Island University (Brooklyn) in 1964.

On May 15, 1981, in Kalamazoo, MI, Stan was united in marriage to the former Loretta A. Kaczynski. He retired in 2007 as Vice President of Sales for Bagcraft Inc. (now Packaging Dynamics) of Chicago, IL. Stan and his wife Lori retired from Hinsdale, IL. to their home on Gull Lake and wintered in Longboat Key, FL. He loved fishing and boating at Gull Lake and the Gulf of Mexico. Stan's request to donate his body to medical science was realized when he was accepted to the University of Miami Medical School at Coral Gables, FL.

Surviving is his wife of 32 years, Lori; his son, Aaron (29); his sister Carol (Fred) Sininsky of Long Island, NY; his nieces Sandi, Amber, Fara and Michelle; a great-niece and four great-nephews. Stan was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Rita.

The Memorial Service to celebrate Stan's life will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd at Noon at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Richland Chapel, 9170 East D Avenue (M-89) with Rabbi Harvey Spivak, the Congregation of Moses of Kalamazoo, MI, officiating. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Family and friends will continue Stan's life celebration with a time of fellowship and a luncheon immediately following the service at The Dock at Bayview, 12504 East D Avenue, Richland, MI 49083.
