Stanley D. Wilber, 83, of Battle Creek died Monday, December 29, 2014 at the Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.   He was born July 4, 1931 in Bellevue the son of Merrill and Madelen (Harry) Wilber and was a 1949 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School.  He proudly served as a Seabee (CBNM-9) with US Navy in the Korean War from 1950â1960.  
Stanley worked in many different fields and jobs all of his life, and was a cook for 20 years at Jack's Bar & Grill retiring in 1988 due to health. 
     He is survived by a son, David M. Wilber and four step-children; Steve A. Lima, John S. Lima, Becky S. Lima and Robin A. Lima all of Battle Creek; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a sister, Nancy Daniels of Lansing.   
     He was a member of the Navy Seabee Veterans of America, American Legion Post No. 298, the Shriners International and he enjoyed reading, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted, hardworking father.
      The family will celebrate Stanley life at graveside services 1:30 pm, Tuesday, Jan 6, 2015 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery with full Military Honors with Rev. Robert G. Muirhead officiating. Arrangements are by the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home. www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
