Steven "Steve" Doty

Steven "Steve" Charles Doty, age 74, of Battle Creek, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 2, 2022. He was born October 13, 1947, the son of Charles and Clara (Jordan) Doty. Steve graduated from Lakeview High School and faithfully served his country as a member of the United States Navy in Vietnam. He retired from the Kellogg Co. in 2000 after a career of over twenty-five years.

Steve was an avid University of Michigan fan and enjoyed golfing with friends, bowling, and playing pool with his friends at the Kool Family Center. He also loved playing pool on Friday nights with his "Family", attending bluegrass festivals and "Talking" with his bluegrass friends.

Steve married the "Love of His Life", Juanita (Darlington-Brown) Doty in 1990. He is survived by his wife, Juanita; sons, Steve Doty of Wisconsin and Brandon Doty of Ohio; stepsons, Larry N. Green Jr. and Aaron D. Green both of Battle Creek; grandchildren, Jennifer, Cole, Lance, Travis, Samantha, Josh, Hailey, and Kennedy; a sister, Theresa Harrington; and several nieces & nephews. Steve was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jim Doty.

Inurnment with full military honors will take place 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 11th at the Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Battle Creek Cancer Care Center.
