Susan Lee (Bame) Berry

Susan Lee (Bame) Berry, 65, of Battle Creek and formerly of Chicago, died with her husband at her side on Thursday, January 10, 2018 at Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Susan was born December 13, 1952 in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Tony and Faye (Walker) Bame. She was raised in the Centre County, Pennsylvania area and was a 1970 graduate of Penns Valley High School. Susan worked for and attended Penn State University, received her Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago and was a Certified Public Accountant. In addition to Penn State, Susan was employed at Xerox in Rochester, NY, Deloitte Accounting, Allstate Insurance Company, FMC and Boeing Company in Chicago, Kellogg Company in Battle Creek and most recently for Amazon in Seattle, Washington.

Susan Lee Bame married Thomas Edward Berry September 6, 1980 at Mountain Acres Lodge. Surviving are her husband, Tom; mother, Faye Winkleblech of Pleasant Gap, PA; siblings, Michael (Connie) Bame of Loch Haven, PA, Barb Taylor of Meadville, PA, Nancy (Stephen) Eberly of Centre Hall, PA and their families.

Susan enjoyed selling on eBay, organic gardening, Tom's coffee and she had an antique booth at Burgess Antiques in Galesburg, MI. Susan loved her puppy, Cricket and was always on the lookout for a good friend.

Susan's life will be celebrated at an open house for friends in Battle Creek at Susan and Tom's home at a later date. A memorial gathering will be held in Aaronsburg, PA, followed by inurnment at Aaronsburg Joint Cemetery.
