Susan C. "Sue" Clark of Gull Lake (Richland, MI)



Sue, age 65, died Monday morning, August 11, 2014 at her residence and surrounded by her loving family.


Sue, the daughter of Lewis and Mildred (Goss) Nagy, was born on June 5, 1949 in Syracuse, NY and moved to Gull Lake in 1975. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Western Michigan University in Interior Design. Sue had been a self-employed Commercial Interior Designer and a homemaker. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church of Augusta, MI. Sue was an avid golfer at the Gull Lake Country Club and the Burnt Pine Country Club of Miramar Beach, FL., but her true passion in life was her family and friends.


Sue was united in marriage to James L. Clark on February 14, 1970 in Syracuse, NY. Surviving is her husband of 44 years, Jim; her daughter, Courtney S. (Bryan M.) Jones of San Rafael, CA; her son, Cameron J. (Tiffany M.) Clark of Pensacola, FL; three grandchildren, Rylan J. Clark, Dylan C. Jones and Landon B. Jones; her mother, Mildred C. Nagy of Glenfield, NY; her sister, Cathy (Dave) Auckland of College Park, MD and her brother, Robert Nagy of Glenfield, NY. Sue was preceded in death by her dad, Lewis.


Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 14th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 12648 East D Avenue, Augusta, MI with Father James F. Adams, Celebrant and Deacon Michael A. Carl, Assisting. Private, family interment will be in Yorkville Cemetery, Ross Township. The Clark family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 13th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Richland Chapel, 9170 East D Avenue (M-89), where the Parish Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. There will be an additional Memorial Service later this fall in Miramar Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sue's honor may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, 222 N. Kalamazoo Mall, Suite 100, Kalamazoo, MI 49007 or to a Charity of one's choice.
