Susan J. Gibson

Susan J. Gibson-Boyd, 68, of Battle Creek, died October 12, 2014. Susan was born September 12, 1946 in Battle Creek to Estel and Lavonne (Penland) Boyd. Susan was a member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club, where she worked for 30 years in the processing department.

Susan enjoyed cooking, watching wild life, crafting and working on puzzles. She had a dog and 2 cats that she cherished. She was a Detroit Tigers fan, but most of all, loved spending time with her family and friends.

Susan is survived by her three children, Richard (Sharon) Gibson, Jamie Gibson and Michelle Gibson; a brother, James (Laura) Boyd; seven grandchildren, Ashley, Logan, Danielle, Corey, Nicholas, Eric and Carrie; and three great-grandchildren, Kaesen, Lucas and Teegan.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, her ex-husband, Don Oldham, and a great-granddaughter, Reilly Waters.

Cremation has taken place and a graveside service to celebrate Susan's life will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 17, 2014 at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Marshall, officiated by Rev. Robert Heine.
