Tamara D. "Tammy" Schaeffer

Tamara D. "Tammy" Schaeffer, 77, of Tekonsha, died Sunday, May 14, 2017 in Hospice Care at the Laurels of Coldwater with her family by her side.

Tammy was born May 17, 1939 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Paul Alexander and Mary (Sidley) Schaeffer. Tammy was brought into this world with special needs. She will be remembered most for having a kind and gentle soul, her contagious smile would always brighten everyone's day. She loved looking at family pictures, her People magazines, doing puzzles and spending time with family and friends. Tammy attended Ann J. Kellogg School in Battle Creek and participated in several Special Olympics. She attended church at Tekonsha Area Church of God.

Surviving are sister, Julia (The late Max) Denton of Charlotte and numerous nieces and nephews. Tammy was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Arlene Richardson.

Graveside funeral services will be held at Hicks Cemetery 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2017.
