Tara N. Norton

Tara N. Norton, age 40, of Battle Creek went to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on Monday morning, September 15, 2014. She was born in Battle Creek on March 1, 1974, the loving daughter of Michael L. and Ann E. (Leutholtz) Johnston and graduated from the Bedford Bible Church School.

Tara married the "Love of Her Life", Greg D. Norton in Battle Creek on June 5, 1993; he survives. She is also survived by her loving son, Brandon Norton of Battle Creek; her parents, Mike and Ann Johnston of Battle Creek; her brother, Aaron (Daneil) Johnston of Battle Creek and several nieces, nephews & extended family.

Tara had a great sense of humor and was a devoted mother and wife. She enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time with her family. Tara had a great love for animals, children and helping others.

The family will receive friends 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home where funeral services to celebrate Tara's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 19, 2014. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to the American Kidney Fund.
