Terry D. Grant

Terry D. Grant, age 56, of Battle Creek unexpectedly went to be with his Lord & Savior on Monday, September 7, 2015. He was born in Battle Creek on June 4, 1959, the loving son of Ronald A. "Ron" and Ilene A (Hawks) Grant, Sr. and graduated from Pennfield High School. Terry worked as a salesman in various area auto parts stores for many years, most recently at Cereal City Auto Parts.

Terry married Sara D. Lake in Battle Creek on November 25, 1992; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Terry Grant Jr., Courtney (Jeremy) Parker, Hannah, Grace & Shawn Grant; his parents Ron Sr. and Ilene Grant; his grandchildren, Landyn and Priscilla Parker; his brother and sisters, Jackie Grant, Ron "Butch" Grant Jr., Jodi McPherson, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins.

Terry was an active member of the Calvary Baptist Church and the CQMA (Capitol Quarter Midget Racing Association). A very giving, loyal and loving man, Terry enjoyed racing, helping out in the church nursery, and spending time with his family.

The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care where funeral services to celebrate Terry's life will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 10, 2015. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
