Terry Harrison, 62, a lifelong Battle Creek resident died unexpectedly at home on Sunday, October 19, 2014.
He was born August 1, 1952 in Battle Creek to Russell W. and Margaret Ann (Henry) Harrison. Terry was a 1971 graduate of Pennfield High School. Terry retired from the Truck Department at Post Cereal Division of Kraft / General Foods in 2007, where he was employed for 32 years. Prior to that, he was employed at Thomas Solvent and for his uncle on the family farms.
Terry was united in marriage to Versa Grace Sturdivant on August 8, 1986 in Toledo, Ohio. Surviving are his wife, Versa G. Harrison; father, Russell W. (special friend - Julie Joshick) Harrison; sister, Karen L. (Bill) Fulcher all of Battle Creek; several aunts and uncles including, his uncle, Walter, R. "Dick" (Lois) Harrison and numerous cousins and their families. Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Ann Harrison on March 19, 1989 and numerous aunts, uncles & cousins.
Terry enjoyed being outdoors, working in his yard or in his barn working on projects. He restored John Deere and Ford tractors. Terry kept his tools, equipment, vehicles, home and everything he owned, whether new or old, clean & polished.
A Celebration of Terry's life will be held for his family. Memorial contributions in memory of Terry may be made to the Humane Society of South Central Michigan, 2500 Watkins Rd., Battle Creek, MI 49015.
