Terry Lee Meyers

Terry Lee Meyers, age 68, of Battle Creek died Monday afternoon, October 7, 2019 at Bronson Battle Creek. He was born in Kalamazoo on June 10, 1951, the son of Earl and LuLu (Rietkerk) Meyers, Jr. and graduated from Otsego High School. Terry worked as a goldsmith/jeweler in Kalamazoo for 15 years and then went on to retire from Systex in January 2019 after more than 15 years.

Terry married Mary Urban in Hastings, MI on July 5, 2005; she survives. He is also by daughters, Renee (Carl) Ionta and their children, Aaron (Rebekah) Johnson & their son, Oliver, and Isabella Ionta; Theresa (Richard) Yater, and Michelle Meyers and her two children; a sister, Debra Meyers; a brother, Kivan Meyers, and several nieces and nephews. Terry was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Christopher Meyers; brothers, Dennis & Arthur Meyers; and two nephews, Joseph Miner and Benjamin Meyers.

A history buff, Terry enjoyed all things Harry Potter and reenactments of the Renaissance and historical wars. He also enjoyed goldsmithing and woodworking.

A memorial service to celebrate Terry's life will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek.
