Theresa M. Mathers

Theresa M. Mathers, age 54, of Battle Creek died Sunday afternoon, October 20, 2013. She was born in Battle Creek on November 16, 1958, the loving daughter of Elmer L. and Joann E. (Willitts) Hines and graduated from Lakeview High School.

Theresa is survived by her 4 children, Wesley Swafford, Margaret Mathers, Jacob Mathers and Sean Mathers, all of Battle Creek, and her special cousins, Josephine and Sandy. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lester Hines.

Theresa was a devout Christian who loved to read her Bible and was an active member of Victory Life Church in Battle Creek. She was an avid animal lover who also enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family and friends.

At the request of the family, they will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 25, 2013 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home where funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 26, 2013.
