Thomas S. Brown

Thomas S. Brown, 55, of Murfreesboro, TN and formerly of Battle Creek, died Thursday, January 26, 2017. Tom was born November 6, 1961 in Battle Creek to Justin "Buddy" and Emma Brown. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1979.

Tom worked for Betterly Wood Products and more recently, Concrete Form Erectors in Tennessee. He enjoyed watching football and NASCAR.

Tom is survived by his three children, Cory (Brittany) Brown, Travis Brown and Scott Brown; his parents, Buddy and Emma Brown; two sisters, Ruth Ann (Greg) Talbott and Jackie Huls; a niece, Leeanna (Jason) Gilley and two nephews, Jonathan Huls and Shae Shufford.

Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents, Boyd and Pearl McCown and Justin and Bea Brown, and a brother-in-law, Jon Huls.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service to celebrate his life will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, officiated by Pastor Will Dulworth. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, starting at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
