Tom, age 65, died Thursday morning, March 15, 2018 at his residence following a gallant battle with cancer.
Tom, the son of Harry E. "Bud" and Eleanor E. (Lindsley) Horrocks, was born in Kalamazoo, MI on January 20, 1953; was a lifetime area resident and a 1971 graduate of Kalamazoo Hackett High School. He was the retired Owner, Operator and C.E.0. of Great Lakes Regional Care of Battle Creek, MI from 1990 to 2007.
Tom was united in marriage to the former Debra A. Jones in Richland on May 2, 2012. Surviving is his wife, Debbie; a step-daughter, Melissa (Steven) Little of Knoxville, TN; two step-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Parker and Steven Little, Jr.; his brother, Mickey Horrocks of Belleville, MI and a sister, Sherry Horrocks. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bud Horrocks.
A private, memorial gathering to celebrate Tom's life will take place at a later date and final interment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery, Richland, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tom's honor may be directed to Reverence Hospice, 348 N. Burdick Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49007. The Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel is assisting Tom's family.
