Thomas Michael "Tom" Lower

Thomas Michael "Tom" Lower, age 40, of Battle Creek passed away unexpectedly on January 2, 2018. He was born in Battle Creek on July 18, 1977, the son of Michael T. and Mary E. (Andrews) Lower. He graduated from Battle Creek Central High School and continued his education at Kellogg Community College. Tom worked as an automotive mechanic at various locations over the years.

Tom is survived by his mother, Mary Mickle of Tennessee; seven children, Lacey, Lexus, Madison, Thomas, Dezarae, and Ashlin, all of Battle Creek, and Abigail of Kalamazoo; five grandchildren, Davion, Taliana, Makenzie, Karinna, and Syair; brothers & sisters, Amy (Bobby) Clark of Battle Creek, Jonathan Lower, Michael Paul, and Kayla Lower, all of Tennessee, and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his dad and his grandparents.

Tom enjoyed fishing, watching football, and listening to music. He truly loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 13th at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care where services to celebrate Tom's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Hicks Cemetery.
