Thomas Ray Suggs of Battle Creek, MI


Tom, age 68, died Monday, July 6, 2020 unexpectedly at his home.

Thomas was born November 23, 1951 in Montezuma, Georgia. He was the son of Oaken and Evelyn Suggs they moved to Battle Creek, Michigan in 1954.
Thomas graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1970.

Thomas Ray Suggs and Vickie Rae Rose were united in marriage on March 11. 1971.
Thomas worked in construction most of his career and retired from Hoffman Bros.

Tom loved traveling to different casinos with his wife, fishing, played many sports throughout his life, loved watching and attending races when he was able to and loved traveling. He would be ready to go anywhere and anytime. He also enjoyed his coffee days with all his best buds.

Surviving are his daughters, Susan (Donnie) Ritter, Brandy (Bobby) Babcock, Sarah (Mark) McGuffey of Battle Creek, his sister Shirley Clark of Battle Creek, 6 grandchildren, Andrew Ritter, Shelby Garrett, Brandon Babcock, Aubrey Ritter, Collin Babcock, Gavin McGuffey; 4 great-grandchildren, Colten and Casen Garrett and Owen and Aden Ritter and 3 more great grandchildren on the way, a niece Margo Clark and a nephew Jeff Clark. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Oaken and Evelyn Suggs, wife, Vickie Suggs, sister, Brenda Suggs and many, many more loved ones

As per Tom's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. The Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek is assisting Tom's family.
