Thomas "Tommy" W. Dunithan

Thomas W. “Tommy” Dunithan, 53, of Augusta, died Saturday, August 19, 2023.  Tommy was born November 22, 1969 in Battle Creek to Eric and Dorothy (Garrett) Dunithan.  He graduated from high school and worked in the construction business with his brother-in-law, Mark. 

Tommy married the former Dawn Kershner on July 6, 2002, who survives.  Also surviving are their children, Christopher Barton, Cody Dunithan, Shea Michael (Heather) Shankle, Angel (Jason) Goldwater and Sheena (Chris) Meyer; 8 grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Dunithan and Deborah (Mark) Makowski; his mother-in-law, Janet Kershner; two brothers-in-law, John (Mary) Kershner and Donny (Deb) Kershner and a sister-in-law, Doreen (Rob) Wilson. 

Tommy loved hunting, golfing and watching movies.  Above all else, he cherished time spent with his grandchildren. 

Cremation has taken place and a private graveside service was held at Augusta Cemetery.  A Celebration of Tommy’s life will be Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Augusta VFW Post.  Tommy was an organ donor through Gift of Life and helped the lives of many people at the time of his passing.  Memorial donations in Tommy’s memory can be made to Gift of Life Michigan.  Arrangements by the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Augusta Chapel.  Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
