Timothy Louis "Tim" Kievit of Kalamazoo, MI
Tim passed from this life on Friday, May 29, 2015 at the age of 63. He was born in Newberry, MI on March 16, 1952. He was the son of Clarence T. "Ted" and Naomi L. "Louise" (Meeker) Kievit. He was the owner and operator of Globe Rubber Stamp Company in Portage MI for over 40 years and a 1970 graduate of Parchment High School. Tim enjoyed the "Great Outdoors," especially hunting, fishing, rock collecting and the Muskegon River – a love of which he passed on to his sons.
Tim was united in marriage to the former Diane L. Arnold in Richland, MI on May 24, 1980. Surviving is his wife of 35 years, Diane, who has lost her strong and supportive partner; two sons, Theodore W. Kievit of Hickory Corners, MI and Benjamin L. Kievit of Kalamazoo and by two brothers, Terry (Judy) Kievit of Kalamazoo and Thomas (Brook) Kievit of Martin, MI. Tim was preceded in death by his parents and by Diane's parents, Wayne H. and Dorothy I. (Stell) Arnold.
Cremation has taken place. A private Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in Tim's honor may be directed to the Parchment Schools Foundation, 520 N. Orient Street, Parchment, MI 49004 or Communities In School of Kalamazoo, 125 West Exchange Place, Kalamazoo, MI 49007. The Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home and Cremation Care, Richland Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
