Tim Mendez

Timothy L. “Tim” Mendez, age 55 of Battle Creek, went home to be with Jesus on Monday morning, December 4, 2023, with his wife and family by his side.  He was born in Battle Creek on May 30, 1968, the son of Myrtle Vaughn William and Ben Mendez Sr.

Tim married his loving wife, Brenda in Battle Creek on October 24, 1997; she survives.  He is also survived by his brothers, Carlos Mendez, Ben (Carol) Mendez, and Troy (Kim) Mendez; his sister, Tracy Mendez; his favorite aunt, Brenda Greene; and several nieces & nephews.  Tim was preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law, Juanita Black; and his sister, Linda Fitch

Tim truly loved spending time with his wife, NASCAR every Saturday & Sunday with his favorite drink, Bud Light, cooking out with family & friends, and collecting NASCAR memorabilia and anything Patriotic, eagles & flags.  Tim grew up very family-oriented and he absolutely loved his mother-in-law’s macaroni salad.

The family will receive friends 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 15^that Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek where a memorial service to celebrate Tim’s life will begin at 1:00 p.m.  The service will be Livestreamed and may be viewed at https://vimeo.com/event/3943436. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the family, C/O his wife, Brenda Mendez.  Personal messages for the family may be placed here at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
