TJ Staib

Timothy Mark “TJ” Staib, age 56, of Marshall passed away unexpectedly on Monday evening April 10, 2023 at Oaklawn Hospital.  He was born in Battle Creek on June 11, 1966, the son of James Alfred and Elinor Jean (McCauley) Staib.

A very kind hearted man, TJ was an extremely hard worker and was always willing to help others in need.  Despite all of his challenges in life, he always remained focused on the positives.  An avid Detroit sports fan, TJ also loved playing pool, throwing darts & horseshoes, and spending time with his many friends, especially his summer long fishing trips with Wes.

TJ is survived by his son, Austin Slack (Mother-Kerri Slack); sisters, Pam Warsop and Kimberly Staib; his brother, Rocky Staib; his special siblings, Dana & Wes Bender; sister-in-law, Teresa Staib; brother-in-law, Daniel Medich; and several nieces, nephews & great-nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, James, Jeffrey, Michael Staib; and his sister, Linda Medich.
