Tina Marie Vogel

Tina Marie Vogel, age 65 of Springfield, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.

Tina was born August 25, 1957, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan to Milferd John and Joyce Evalee (Rhode) Vogel. Tina grew up in Mt. Pleasant and was a 1976 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. After graduation she attended Central Michigan University where her studies focused on nursing.

Tina worked for several years for Listening Ear, where her compassion to help others was put to good use. Early in 2000, Tina had the opportunity to further her career and went to work for the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services, serving clients at the State Institution in Mt. Pleasant. When the location closed down Tina transferred to the Kalamazoo Psychiatric Hospital, where she was employed as a RCA (Resident Care Aide) at the time of her death.

Tina is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Kris Vogel of Springfield, Michigan; two nieces, Jenna and Kayla Vogel, a nephew, Conner Vogel (triplets) many cousins, ample special friends, and her loyal canine companions Angel and Shadow. Tina was preceded in death by her parents.

Tina's life was dedicated to caring for others, but most importantly to her nieces/nephew—so much so that it was rare not to see her on the sidelines of a soccer or baseball field or at any other event they had. If they needed a ride, she was there; if there was a good movie at the theater she was game, or if they were hungry for something special Aunt Tina would treat them! Tina loved playing games, especially Rummikub and Sequence; she'd even play Spoons with Jenna even though Jenna was a mean Spoons player! Tina also liked to do diamond paintings, which Jenna and Kayla got her hooked on!

Friends will be received Thursday, December 29, 2022, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Cremation Preneed Care; where a service to celebrate Tina's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. following the visitation. Tina will be laid to rest with her parents at Calvary Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, where a graveside service will be held at a later date.
