Todd Edward Crane of Battle Creek, MI
Todd, age 38, died unexpectedly on Wednesday afternoon, August 23, 2017.
Todd, the son of Edward H. VanVleet and Cathy S. Pahl was born in Battle Creek, MI ON July 16, 1979 and was a lifetime resident. He was a handyman in the area and was an active racer at the Galesburg Raceway in the Sportsman Division driving number 32, as well as fishing and deer hunting with his friends and family.
Todd is survived by his six children, Sadie (Robert) Burbank of Albemarle, NC, Todd Crane Jr., Haylee Crane, Edward Crane, Alyssa Packer and Matthew Packer Jr., all of Battle Creek; One grandson, Matthew Packer III and granddaughter Carter Burbank; his parents, Ed VanVleet and Cathy Pahl of Battle Creek; three sisters, Missa (Billy) Mexico and Betsy Pahl both of Battle Creek, Alta Marie (Nick) LaPorte of Saginaw; five brothers, Larry (Cindy) Seeley, Steve VanVleet, Scott, Tory and Cody Sanford, all of Battle Creek; his wife and best friend, Joy L. Crane (Chantrene) of Battle Creek; numerous nieces and nephews; his great grandmother, Orma Kissinger of Battle Creek and by three aunts.
The Funeral Service to celebrate Todd's life will be held on Thursday, August 31st at 3:00 p.m. at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek, with Rev. Robert G. Muirhead, officiating. Todd's family will greet friends on Wednesday, August 30th from 4:00 pm. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Joy.
