Todd James Mazo, 58, of Battle Creek, Michigan died peacefully at home, with his family at his side, on Monday, July 28, 2025.
He was born September 9, 1966, in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Gerald James Mazo and Sharon Kay (Cross) Rankens. Todd grew up in Vicksburg and was a 1985 graduate of Marshall High School. Todd was an extremely talented and gifted pipefitter and welder, beginning his career with Central Piping in Marshall. He was employed for UA Local 357 Plumbers/Pipefitters & HVAC-R for over 30 years. He spent his last five years working at Westrock Paper & Packaging.
An arranged first date was all it took to generate true love between Todd and Christina. Todd and Christina were married on May 22, 2019, in Tennessee. This union turned seven kids into siblings as well. Surviving are Todd's wife, Christina; children, Tyler James Mazo , Alex Allerding , Kalsee Masters, Hayley Frailey, Laken Parker, Sierra Bender and Wheaton Bender; five grandchildren; mother and stepfather, Sharon and George Rankens; stepmother, Arlene Mazo; his siblings, James Mazo, Lori Bagent, Brian Gott and Gina Gott, also many extended family members. Todd was preceded in death by his father, Gerald James Mazo.
Todd worked hard and took pride in everything he did, both on and off the job. Todd was very particular about order; everything was clean and had its place. He loved working on his trucks and bikes. Todd always had a vision as he created pumped-up, lifted trucks, with perfect paintjobs, big tires and sound, enough for him to win numerous awards and trophies. He raced BMX bikes, dirt bikes and quads as a young man. Harley's became a passion later in life, so much that he created his to be one-of-a-kind, as if it was a blank canvas for him to design a vision of his own. Todd took great pride when heads turned as he drove by on his Harleys or trucks.
He came from a family of bowlers and held a professional bowler's card for a few years. He loved traveling with family and friends, with itineraries to stop at Harley dealerships for tee shirts and poker chips. Christina talked him into going on a cruise after Todd talked Christina into flying. He enjoyed craft beer, Buffalo Wild Wings and rock music. Todd will be remembered for his independence, his love of family, friends and his dogs, “Willie”, “Jake” and “Wuzzy”. He was always there to protect his family and friends, making everything right, showing how proud he was of his family and looking out for them.

Bowl4Life has generously committed to award 100% of the funds to a special memorial scholarship in Todd's honor. The award recipient will be a random selection from any junior bowler scholarship application received by Bowl4Life during this year.
